Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

NoSuggest is a free web application that allows you to follow YouTube channels, search for videos, save videos to watch later, and watch them without algorithmic recommendations or behavioural tracking. NoSuggest will never send you notifications, autoplay videos, or suggest what to watch next. You come when you want, watch what you chose, and leave. The app is available at nosuggest.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect no personal data on any server. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information
• We do not require sign-in of any kind
• We do not log your usage, viewing history, or behaviour on our end
• We do not use cookies or tracking pixels
• We do not run any backend servers that store user data

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics tool that does not track individual visitors. It records only aggregate data such as page views, country, and device type. No personal data is collected or stored. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

3. How NoSuggest Accesses YouTube Data

NoSuggest uses a privacy-preserving serverless proxy to retrieve publicly available YouTube information, including video titles, thumbnails, and channel uploads. This is the same information visible to anyone on YouTube.

4. Data Stored on Your Device

The following information is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device and is never sent to any server we operate:

• The list of YouTube channels you have added (channel names and IDs)
• Videos you have saved to watch later (video ID, title, channel name, and thumbnail)
• A temporary cache of video information per channel, to reduce requests to YouTube (cleared automatically after 3 hours or via Settings)
• Your last active tab, so the app reopens on the same screen
• Your Kids Mode PIN, if set
• Your Kids Mode on/off preference, if set

You can clear all stored data at any time from the app's Settings screen, or by clearing your browser's local storage.

5. Third-Party Services

NoSuggest interacts with the following third-party services:

• YouTube (video playback) - videos play via YouTube's embedded player. When you watch a video, YouTube's own systems apply. Subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare Web Analytics - cookie-free, privacy-respecting analytics that records only aggregate page view data. Does not track individuals. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy
• Google Fonts - for typography. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy

We have no control over these third-party services and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

6. Children's Privacy

NoSuggest does not collect any personal data from anyone, including children. The app has no accounts, no sign-up, and no server-side storage. NoSuggest includes a Kids Mode feature that restricts navigation within the app. However, video content accessed through NoSuggest is hosted by YouTube and subject to YouTube's own terms.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. As we collect no personal data, changes are unlikely to affect you materially.

8. Your Rights

Since we store no personal data on our end, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. All locally stored data can be cleared by you directly from the app settings or your browser settings.
